He is originally known for his early citywide graffiti projects with his crew TNS (The non-stoppers) but it wasn’t until 1980 at the age of 13 his world changed. In a school yard on the lower east side where he grew up, a young student from SVA, (School of Visual Arts ) named Keith Haring sought him out to discuss collaborating artistic styles.
