Franc Palaia
Franc Palaia is a multi disciplinary artist working in New York and New Jersey with a studio practice in painting, photography, public art, sculpture and murals. He is also an independent curator,sign-maker, lecturer, educator, scenic painter and musician. During the early 1980s, Franc Palaia used to document Richard Hambleton's work in the streets of Manhattan. In 1982, he published a first book in a very limited edition, which is today also part of the MOMA museum collection. Richard Hambleton's Shadowmen used to be quickly vandalized, but Palaia's photos were often shot only a few hours after their appearance.
